Xiamen, China (Jan. 20th, 2025) – DNAKE, a leader in IP video intercom and smart home solutions, together with CyberGate (www.cybertwice.com/cybergate), a subscription-based Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) application hosted in Microsoft Azure, are excited to announce an important update to their integration. The DNAKE S617 8" Facial Recognition Door Station now integrates seamlessly with Microsoft Teams via CyberTwice's CyberGate platform.
This update ensures that DNAKE door stations, including the S617, are now able to integrate directly with Microsoft Teams via CyberGate, providing enterprises with an easy solution to connect their DNAKE intercom systems to Teams. This integration enables seamless communication between door intercoms and Teams users, further enhancing the overall user experience and security at entry points.
Rising Demand for Integration with Microsoft Teams
In today's business environment, it's no longer sufficient for enterprises to simply receive intercom calls at their front desk. As businesses continue migrating from traditional telephony systems—whether local IP-PBX or Cloud Telephony—to Microsoft Teams, the demand for seamless integration between smart intercoms and Teams has grown. Enterprises now need solutions that allow their existing SIP-based video door intercoms to connect with Microsoft Teams, effectively bridging the gap between physical access control systems and digital collaboration platforms.
How It Works: Seamless Video Intercom Integration
With the new integration, visitors can select individuals or groups from the phonebook on the DNAKE S617 door station, which will trigger a call to the predefined Microsoft Teams users. The receiving Teams user can answer the incoming call, which includes 2-way audio and live video, on their Teams desktop client, Teams-compatible desk phone, or Teams smartphone app. The user can then remotely grant access by opening the door for the visitor—all directly from within Microsoft Teams.
Thanks to CyberGate, there's no need for a Session Border Controller (SBC) or any third-party software downloads. The integration is simple and efficient, allowing for a seamless connection between the door intercom system and Microsoft Teams with minimal setup.
